Born in Montreal (Canada) Puppa Sacha started his professional career as a radio personality at CISM 89,3 FM (in Montreal), back in 1995 .Teaming up with the prestigious Dj DBL, their two radio shows (« Rapattitude » & « Funkadélices ») were among the heart of the booming hip-hop scene of their city. These broadcastings will showcase other emerging talents from Montreal, for example Chromeo’s Dave-One.

In parallel with his radio adventure, Puppa Sacha managed to develop his skills, not only as a club Dj, but as well as a Mix-tape Dj .His ability for mixing diverse types of music (Hip-Hop, R&B, Dancehall Reggae, Reggaeton, House, Old School), helped him build a strong and solid reputation as an innovative and energetic Dj.

After accumulating club residencies in his hometown of Montreal (Groove Society, Sona, Temple, Studio, Red-Lite, Arena, Angel’s …), he decided that it was the right time for him to embrace an international career. The year 1999 would mean the end of his radio days, and consequently the beginning of a marvellous odyssey.

Instantly, Puppa Sacha will step into a globetrotter mode, doing strings of international tours. His fabulous destiny has allowed him since the privilege to demonstrate his precious aptitudes in France, U.K., Belgium, Italy, Germany, Holland, Spain, USA, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Martinique, Equator, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Mexico and more recently in the Bahamas. All in all, his international Dj status is now foolproof.

During his world tours, Puppa Sacha had the opportunity to work as a club Dj with many celebrities, such as Kid Kapri, Whoo Kid, Cut Killer, Dj Premier, Lady Coco, Jazzy Joyce, Daddy K, Jazzy Jeff, amongst others. Most of those collaborations took place in various notorious nightclubs (Louise Gallery, Stereo, Tunnel, Exit, Deep, Nell, Limelight … ).

All those gatherings will lead toward various accomplishments by the prolific Dj. Among the most acknowledged : a participation with Cut Killer on a compilation co-produced by Dj Choice; a mix-tape project starring Shurik’n (IAM), a two months tour with the contemporary circus company « Les 7 Doigts De La Main » (formerly affiliated to « Cirque Du Soleil »); and many Dj appearances for a cultural TV show called « Palmarès » on Radio-Canada.

In 2001, Puppa Sacha creates the Moog Audio Dj School (an institute specialized in the art of « dee’jaying ») in collaboration with the DMC World Champion Dj A-trak. Both Dj’s believe in the importance of teaching the proper techniques to the next « turntablists » generation.

During the last decade in between the frequent tours, Puppa Sacha has put his needle on lots of projects: the X-Kalibur records label co-founded with his long time partner Dj DBL is a good illustration. The two friends have elaborated a significant amount of ideas on this label. In particular, the creation of break beats albums, mix tapes, few Montreal artists’ records as well as productions for manifold TV and radio ads.

Dj Puppa Sacha also succeeded in making a name for himself in prestigious clubs of the New York scene, allowing him to perform on a monthly basis in the Big Apple. Since then, he’s been appearing in countless V.I.P. events, such as the « Mimi Plange » brand launch (clothing collection from top fashion designer Mimi Plange) during the last New York Fashion Week.

Nowadays, on top of touring, Puppa Sacha is often solicited by promoters to develop special events, such as his experience as the official Dj for the Lotus Racing Team for the 2010 Montreal Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Like any great chef, he constantly perfects his concoctions, with a fusion of R&B, Hip-Hop, Dancehall-Reggae, Reggaeton, House, while adding a twist of eclectic touches (Rock, Electro, Funk, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Arabic and Israeli music).
